Kingdom Quest Age Group Options
Kingdom Quest divides into the age groups below for sociological reasons. A first grader usually doesn't like to be grouped back with the younger kindergarten students. The same is true for fifth graders. They don't want to be treated like little kids and are sensitive about being grouped with first graders. Sixth graders? Even if they are in middle school, are we pushing them too quickly into adolescent issues if they are with Jr. High? Grouping fifth and sixth grade together gives them their own preteen identity.

But maybe a different grouping system would work better at your church.
Curriculum is but a tool, and shepherds are the ones who make it applicable to a student’s life. Shepherds can easily use this material for the student who is an age-group older. For example, if your program keeps grades 2 through 5 together, we suggest this grouping:
| * Ages 2-4 |
Use 2 & 3-year-old material |
Three-year cycle |
| Age K-Gr 1 |
Use 4-5-K material |
Two-year cycle |
| Grades 2-5 |
Use Grades 1-4 material |
Four-year cycle |
| Grades 6-7 |
Use Grades 5-6 material |
Two-year cycle |
* Ages 2-4: A child will experience the same lessons at ages 2 and
4, but he will experience it differently based on his perspective.
