The Global Village Children's Ministry project will gather writers and editors from the global church to develop a simple international children's ministry curriculum that is effective in the village church as well as the city church. This web-based curriculum will be further translated according to culture and language.

Creative
Each lesson centers on an interactive story-tell presentation of the Bible event.
Interactive
Children participate in learning options such as Bible skills, crafts, learning games, drama, or music.
Christ-centered
A broad scope and sequence of the Bible still points to the main theme: God rescues us through Christ.

The website, Global Village Children's Ministry, will be available in early 2011. It will have a global map where people can click the preferred country and language. As soon as translations are complete, they will be posted and available. Lessons can be downloaded for the local church and printed onsite. For village churches where a download is not possible, trainers will supply printed copies of lessons.

When one acquires the curriculum, they will be contacted by a representative from their region who will train their volunteer team. This training happens in a two-day workshop that culminates in a children's ministry rally.

The Original Product
The project director is Dr. Roger Theimer, an experienced curriculum author and children's pastor. Six editors are needed to oversee the following areas: Story-tells, Puppet Set-ups, Bible & Application Questions, Crafts, Creative Arts, and Learning Games. Writers can be from any country but must be able to write and edit in English.
Apply before November 1, 2010. Writing begins January 2011 and the first 25 lessons will be ready mid-2011.
You may download the application and past experience below. Complete these forms and send them with your resume to info@globalvillagechildrensministry.com.
Online Ideas Welcomed
After publication, additional lesson ideas may be contributed online. Video lesson demonstrations will be available from ministries using the curriculum.

Culturally and Linguistically Translated
Once lessons are produced in English, they are open to cultural adaptation and translated into other languages by an editor from that region. An editor from each language group and country will oversee the translation and cultural adaptation.

Global Village Children's Ministry is initiated by Kids Kount Publishing. Its continued support will largely depend on grants, donations and mission offerings. The curriculum will be offered without cost but asks that donations be given as determined by economic ability. Partnerships between churches will help fund local children's ministries in need. Most of the revenue from curriculum sales will be used to further translate and train in many countries and cultures.
