Campaign Starting 2009: Equip the Equipper

Our Purpose
Our purpose is to equip children's ministries and family ministries for highly effective discipleship. We accomplish this purpose by providing innovative curriculum and a variety of training opportunities.

Brief History
Kids Kount Publishing was birthed out of our vision at King of Kings Lutheran Church to be a 21st Century Mission Center. We will stop and nothing so that the world experiences the heart of the King. If we develop effective children's ministry here, we must share it with other churches. In 2002 we began Kids Kount Publishing to distribute these materials. King of Kings formed Glory Enterprises as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation to govern the publishing company. Since then we have distributed materials to churches in every state and many countries all over the world.

Children's Ministry Curriculum: We offer ten years of Kingdom Quest, our version of Sunday school. A second product is eight years of Kids Church, where children engage in their own age-appropriate worship and word experience. Our curriculum is appreciated by kids because it is fun and creative. Volunteers like it because it's easy to build relationships with kids. Parents like it because their kids love to attend. But the real issue is content:deeper discipleship. Every lesson is Christ-centered. Kids use their Bibles. Both kids and adults talk about their walk with Christ.

Family Ministry Curriculum: A third curriculum focuses on discipleship in the home: Faith Legacy Series. This practical curriculum facilitated on DVD provides training for parents to become more spiritually intentional in the home.

Training: A fourth area of resources is training materials. We help train children's ministry leaders through training handbooks, DVDs and various support products. We sponsor training seminars, leadership summits and coaching emails.

In the last year, 625 churches have purchased products. Over 118,000 Bible lessons have been sold across the United States and internationally. One electronic lesson could be used for any size of group… from 2 to 200 children. Consider how many children are being reached! We often receive comments like the following: "Kingdom Quest is a huge success! Our Sunday school has doubled… kids are talking about their faith and express their love for the Lord without hesitation."

International Work
Kids Kount Publishing has trained writing teams in India and Malaysia to culturally adapt Kingdom Quest. Years of work has produced hundreds of lessons that will be translated into local languages. English-speaking churches in international cities are using the materials already.

Long-term Goal
Churches around the globe are desperate for high quality children's ministry materials. The internet makes it possible to reach hundreds of thousands of churches. We want to give them what we have. But many village churches would better be served by a simpler curriculum than Kingdom Quest. By 2012, Kids Kount will create a simple but effective curriculum for these churches that also can be downloaded from the internet. Our goal is to reach 20 million children with either of our curriculums by the year 2020. The financial success of Kids Kount Publishing makes it possible for us to underwrite the mission expenses developing international materials.

Equip the Equipper Campaign
This campaign seeks to raise money from grants, donors and offerings to pursue the following endeavors in 2009.

Children’s Ministry Leadership Initiative
This Leadership Initiative will help us provide three key services to children’s ministries.  1)  Weekly coaching emails and a website to help children’s ministry directors connect with one another.  2)  Children’s Ministry Leadership Summits that provide 2-day training in four regional locations.  3)  Networks of Children’s Ministry Directors who gather locally six times a year for video training and support. 

Expanded Outreach
Expanded outreach includes new product development, current editing and new promotional activities.  We will develop “Simply Effective Curriculum.”  This global curriculum will be inexpensive and easy for village churches.  Also it can be used for churches, children’s mission outreaches and shelters.  Promotional activities include expanding our marketing efforts.  We will train representatives throughout the country to introduce our children’s ministry model to churches investigating better ways to do children’s ministry.  If enough funds are given we will hire a children’s ministry director in India to train and set up distribution centers.  Additional marketing investments nationally and globally will help us become more financially self-sufficient.
